Privacy Policy

Transparent data practices for the modern campus.

Effective Date: July 17, 2026

At reduVate EdTech Systems, we know you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the reduVate mobile application (the “Services”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you consent to having your data transferred to and processed by us.

1. What Information We Collect

A. Device Permissions (Push Notifications Only)

To function effectively and respect your privacy, our mobile application requests only one device-level permission:

  • Push Notifications: We ask for permission to send you notifications. This is used exclusively to deliver educational updates, course reminders, and relevant announcements directly to your device.

We do not request or access your device’s Camera, Microphone, Contacts, GPS Location, or Local File Storage.

B. Automatically Collected Mobile Data

When you use our mobile application, standard industry tools (like Firebase Cloud Messaging, which powers our notifications) automatically collect basic technical data to ensure the app functions correctly. This includes:

  • IP address
  • Device ID and Device Type
  • Operating System (OS) version

C. Information You Provide to Us

If you create an account to use the Services, we receive and store the information you knowingly enter. This may include basic profile information such as your name, email address, phone number, and educational preferences. We use this to verify your identity, set up your account, and provide a personalized learning experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we gather enables us to provide, personalize, and improve our Services. We use your data strictly for the following purposes:

  • Delivering Notifications: Sending alerts about upcoming classes, exams, or study sessions (subject to your device permission).
  • Authentication & Security: Verifying your identity and securing your account.
  • Improving Operations: Troubleshooting bugs, testing new features, and analyzing how the app is used.
  • Communication: Responding to your support requests or sending administrative messages regarding platform updates.

3. Will We Share Your Information?

We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information to anyone. We only share your Personal Information in the following circumstances:

  • Agents and Service Providers: We employ third-party companies to perform tasks on our behalf (such as Firebase for sending push notifications or secure cloud hosting for our database). These agents are only provided with the information necessary to perform their specific services and are obligated to protect your data.
  • Business Transfers: If reduVate EdTech Systems or substantially all of its assets were acquired, user information would be one of the assets transferred. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer may continue to use your Personal Information as set forth in this policy.
  • Protection of Rights and Legal Compliance: We may release Personal Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our employees, our users, or others.

4. Data Security

Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. We use industry-standard secure socket layer technology (SSL) and secure architectural routing to protect your data during transmission and storage.

While we endeavor to protect user information to ensure it is kept private, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of user information at any time.

5. Children’s Privacy

NOTE TO DEVELOPER: Please keep the option below that applies to your app and delete the other.

Option A (For apps NOT targeting children under 13):

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.

Option B (For apps targeting children):

Our Services comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy. We do not collect personal device data, location data, or behavioral advertising data from child users.

6. Withdrawal of Consent

You may choose to withdraw your consent for the collection and processing of your data at any point in time. Such withdrawal of consent must be sent in writing to support@reduvate.in. Please note that if you withdraw your consent, you may no longer be able to access or use the Services, and we reserve the right to terminate your account.

You can also opt out of Push Notifications at any time by turning them off in your mobile device's settings menu.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice within the App prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
